Rajiv K. Pruthi, M.B.B.S.
Dr. Pruthi holds board certifications in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology. Dr. Pruthi earned his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in India and subsequently pursued internal medicine and hematology/oncology training at Mayo Clinic. His career has been shaped by a deep interest in disorders of coagulation, bleeding, and thrombosis.
At Mayo Clinic, Dr. Pruthi serves as Director of the Hemophilia Treatment Center and Co‑Director of the Special Coagulation and Molecular Hematopathology laboratories. His research focuses on translational science—developing molecular and genetic diagnostic tools for coagulation disorders and improving patient care in bleeding and thrombotic diseases.
Beyond his clinical and research contributions, Dr. Pruthi is a dedicated educator and mentor. He has received several awards for teaching excellence and patient care, and has published widely in his field, reflecting his enduring commitment to advancing hematology through both discovery and compassionate patient-centered care.
