Alexandra Paula Wolanskyj-Spinner, M.D., FACP
Dr. Wolanskyj-Spinner is a Professor of Medicine and Consultant in Hematology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She holds the Carla J. and Russell P. Paonessa Endowed Chair in Student Life and Wellness and serves as Medical Director of the Office of Wellness and Academic Support for the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science across the Mayo Clinic enterprise.
Dr. Wolanskyj-Spinner’s research focuses on chronic myeloid neoplasms, thrombophilic disorders, and autoimmune cytopenias. She is also a leader in medical education with a focus on physician wellbeing, contributing scholarly work in resilience training, learner support, and the integration of humanities in medicine. She has authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications and led multiple educational innovations across the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
